ABOUTAs an artist who explores the relationship between digital processes and hand-fabrication techniques while creating functional objects, I utilize digital technology as an essential tool to transform creative ideas into reality. Hand-fabrication techniques that I have polished up over a long time infuse my works with a unique sensibility and distinctiveness. This fusion is evident in my creations, showcasing a beautiful harmony between contemporary technology and traditional craftsmanship. My art delves into the interplay between the past and the present, human and machine, as I explore creative diversity and the potential of technology. Through this, I aim to offer viewers new perspectives and experiences. Δ ABOUTJuhyung Park is an artist who explores the relationship between hand and technique, tradition and digital technology through the medium of metal. Building on traditional metal-forming techniques such as sheet metalwork, which he has honed over many years, he incorporates digital processes like visual programming languages to expand the intersection between sculptural thinking and methods of making. By using materials such as aluminum—imbued with both industrial function and symbolic meaning—he raises questions about the direction and significance of contemporary craft, creating objects that are both sensorial and contemplative. He studied metalwork at Kookmin University and earned his MFA in Metals/Jewelry/CAD-CAM from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture in Philadelphia. His work continues to develop within diverse cultural contexts through exhibitions in Korea and abroad. Δ
